Grief Is Paralyzing
A loss of any kind forces us to pick up our pieces and rediscover who we are again at our core. It is the process of BECOMING and RE-BECOMING.
Abandonment is utterly painful
Dishonesty is gut-drenching
Love makes you blind to narcissism, betrayal, abuse, control, and mind-games
Heartbreak — No one is immune
I am not talking about anyone specific person — to clarify, this applies to ALL types of relationships. Romantic partners, friendships, parents, siblings, co-workers, etc. Connections exist in all forms, and I’ve learned that some relationships have seasons, while others last a lifetime.
I’ve been through it all, and every experience has brought me to a new level of self-awareness and has helped me return to myself. As easy as it is to get lost in others, I am learning to stand firm in my own power.
I call in my compassion and my empathy when entering into a space of forgiveness.
Forgiveness is always the first step toward healing.
I’m learning to pull myself back up. It feels good to FEEL strong again. It’s easy to lose yourself in the service of another, especially when you’re constantly in an attempt to make another happy.
I give myself grace for all of the mistakes I’ve made. I’m a deeply-feeling human, and I’m humbled.
I’m still a work in progress
I am opening the door to be present so I can take the next steps moving forward on my journey.
An affirmation of strength once shared with me is to repeat…’’I love you, and now I must love me more.”
