Last night, I watched Stanley & Iris movie. If you need 90 minutes of a feel-good movie, this one is the one for you.

Media and movies show us a highlights reel loaded with an overindulgence of sexual fantasies and drama, but they don’t teach us how true trust or intimacy is built. Foundation is everything. Romance is fun and evokes passion, but have you ever experienced stability or safety in your relationships? It’s a different kind of connection.

Lately, I’ve been redefining what love means to me. What is real love?

It’s such a special thing. Love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person

What I learned after my divorce, understanding yourself and your partner is only one component, also having the key tools and communication skills to navigate love waters is essential.

No matter the relationship — whether with a partner, a friend or with yourself — there’s always a growth opportunity to create the LOVE that you desire within your own life. You get to decide what that looks like and how to bring it into fruition.

Stanley & Iris's movie though me that love is a continuous choice and a commitment. I know the world has felt like a crazy place lately, and you find yourself lonely, but love is what makes a journey worthwhile.
